The terrible news stunned Hannah Darr just four months before the wedding: her betrothed crashed in a car accident.
Their wedding ceremony was scheduled for June 17, 2017.
The approaching of such a desired date was filling the recent bride’s heart with grief more and more.
However, she realized that she would not return Lane Meriwether with her suffering.
Then it occurred to her that it was possible to arrange a symbolic photo shoot to keep the memory of her beloved as a husband forever.
Hannah said that with the loss of Lane, she lost not only her husband-to-be, but also the best friend who used to understand her almost without saying a word.
She also told that they were making plans, wanted to create a family and age together.
After the death of the groom, Darr called the photographer Holly Gannett, saying that she was not going to cancel the wedding photo shoot, but would change its format somewhat.
Nevertheless, the girl decided to put on a wedding dress and go to where it all began - the place where Lane asked her to marry him 1 year ago.
Holly suggested that they could combine her present photos with the already existing ones with the deceased fiancé in order to create an ideal reality which later on would be unattainable for them.
The guy and the girl started dating 7 years ago when they were teenagers.
That is why their personal archives had accumulated a lot of photos where they were together.
However, Hannah admitted that wedding photos became the dearest to her heart because they reflected the whole love story with its joy and sorrow.
Looking at them, the bride could not hold back tears, pain, and happiness.
She imagined how sweet Lane, who always complimented her, would say kind and pleasant words about her wedding look ...
But after that, Darr recalled that this will not happen again. Never.
Hannah confesses that now, 4 months after receiving the news of the loss, she was able to recover a little and understand that one should remember love instead of a loss.
A girl constantly heard assurances that she was strong and would surely cope with everything…
In fact, it was not that easy, because all her plans and the very meaning of life suddenly collapsed.
However, Hanna was saved by faith in God and her close people, who supported her during the hard times.
